original paragraph-
Have you ever seen a vulture before? Well even if you haven’t you have most likely seen an image of the bald creature. These birds feed of dead animal’s carcasses, making them ‘’a necessary and positive part of nature,’’ says M.E White, author of ‘’Vultures make life difficult’’.
These birds have inflicted damage on neighborhoods by, destroying car’s paint, nib
bling the wheels, and chewing the caulking on the windows. Putting a stop to their
detriment to peoples properties is crucial. Putting up deterrents and even contacting the U.S Wildlife Service are options to help stop these vultures from causing

Can you write me a short entertaining story about dogs? It has to be fictional. Also please don't take it off of google. THANNK YOUUU!!!!

Answers

Answer:

Once upon a time, two old married dogs were old and frail. Their hair was gray and thin. So, the owner (who was a farmer) began planning to dispatch them in order to save money on food and a roof over their head. However, his plan was foiled when they caught wind of it (for they have very good ears).

After licking their children good-bye, they started off on a journey to find a place to grow old(er).

They passed by gas stations, and convenience stores, and the little general stores that are common in Nebraska.

In the end, they never did find a place to settle down to live out their dog years. But, they did get to visit the vast farmlands & country-sides, and that was enough for them.

They would up passing peacefully together atop a small hill that overlooked cornrows.

And so, they began their new life in Doggy Heaven, chasing rabbits without the burden of old gums and joint pains.

Answer:

The beagle crawled out from underneath the table, its tail between its legs. He looked up with a guilty glint in his eye, staring at his owner’s face. He didn’t understand what she wasn’t yelling, but one quick look at the shattered vase told him that it wasn’t a congratulations yell. He whimpered when his owner turned on her feet, and stalked to her room, slamming the door shut. This vase must have been special, he thought. Noting the broomstick across from him in the kitchen, he got a bright idea. This will make her feel better, the dog sniffed happily. Trotting over to the broom, he took the wooden part by his teeth, and dragged it across the floor near the mess. Shoving and pushing the glass with the broom, he finally, although not swiftly, created a pile of the glass, careful to not break the pieces any further. Standing the broom up to the best of his abilities, he ran over to the drawer he was familiar with. He knew the object with white liquid inside like the back of his paw. The clumsy beagle jumped as high as he could to reach the glue, and had got it on, about, his umpteenth try. Careful to not squeeze the glue between his teeth so much, he jogged over to his owners door. It took quite some scratching and whining at the door for his owner to show her face. When she caught sight of the glue and the wagging tail of her beagle, she walked over to the glass mess, and noticed it in a neat pile, getting what her dog was trying to do. She kneeled on the floor near her beagle, and took the glue out of its mouth. Seeing her open her arms made the dog bark happily, as he jumped into her warm embrace. That night was full of fixing up a wonderful mistake.

Write a short paragraph citing evidence from the text to show that Sara was a good storyteller.

Please write your answer in complete sentences.

Text:The power that Lavinia and certain other girls were most envious of, and at the same time most fascinated by in spite of themselves, was her power of telling stories and of making everything she talked about seem like a story, whether it was one or not. Any one who has been at school with a teller of stories knows what the wonder means—how he or she is followed about and besought in a whisper to relate romances; how groups gather round and hang on the outskirts of the favored party in the hope of being allowed to join it and listen.

Sara not only could tell stories, but she adored telling them. When she sat or stood in the midst of a circle and began to invent wonderful things, her green eyes grew big and shining, her cheeks flushed, and, without knowing that she was doing it, she began to act and made what she told lovely or alarming by the raising or dropping of her voice, the bend and sway of her slim body, and the dramatic movement of her hands. She forgot that she was talking to listening children; she saw and lived with the fairy folk, or the kings and queens and beautiful ladies, whose adventures she was narrating. Sometimes when she had finished her story, she was quite out of breath with excitement, and would lay her hand on her thin, little, quick-rising chest, and half laugh as if at herself.

Answers

Some evidence from the text that shows Sara was a good storyteller is when the text says “Sara not only could tell stories, but she adored telling them. We she sat or stood in the midst of a circle and began to invent wonderful things, her green eyes grew big and shining, her cheeks flushed, and, without knowing that she was doing it, she began to act and made what she told lovely or alarming by the raising or dropping of her voice, the bend and sway of her slim body, and the dramatic movement of her hands.” This shos very descriptive writing in where it shows that Sara has a passion for reading books and making them sound more joyful no matter was she's reading. But an also making her reading sound more realistic, you could just tell by looking at her that she enjoys what she's doing.

I picked the careers of becoming a fashion designer and a surgical technologist because those are two things I look forward to doing when I grow up because at the age I am now I really enjoy drawing so fashion ideas I have and just drawing in general and I have also told my siblings very many times that I have always wanted to become either a nurse, a doctor, or a surgen. The most important thing I look for in a career is mostly people because I have always had this thing for helping people when they are sad, depressed, sick, hurt, or is having family issues. I mostly like to help people because my friends have always told me I am always the happiest person they know, which is true. I am usually always a happy person. So that is how and why I chose the surgical technologist career. The reason I chose the Fashion designer career is that I have always loved to dress up, and in that career, I get to dress up other people which would make me happy. And also because I am usually full of wild and crazy ideas when it comes to fashion. Although now that I am in my teens I am not much to dress in dresses and skirts anymore, I will wear them at some time when I'm in town but that mostly in summer. Sketch the character of the protagonist from the lesson “Hearts and Hands in about 100 words

Answers

Answer:

Tama p.o. ba ito?

Explanation:

ike many of O. Henry's short stories, a surprise ending awaits readers of 'Hearts and Hands.' The story is set on a train to Denver. An elegantly attired woman named Miss Fairchild is seated on the train when two men arrive and take the seat facing her. It quickly becomes apparent that the woman knows one of the men.

She speaks to this man, Mr. Easton, and then she is rather surprised to discover that he is handcuffed to the man seated beside him. As Easton greets the young woman, 'He slightly raised his right hand, bound at the wrist by the shining 'bracelet' to the left one of his companion.'

Evidently, the man with Easton senses Easton's embarrassment and volunteers an explanation: Easton is the marshal, and the two are headed for Leavenworth prison. 'It's seven years for counterfeiting' Easton says. As the conversation continues, the woman is surprised to learn that Easton has discarded his life in Washington to become a marshal out West, but she finds the West agreeable as well.

The young woman continues to chat with her acquaintance, but she continues to stare at the handcuffs. To ease her concerns, the scruffy looking older man tells her, ''Don't you worry about them, miss,' said the other man. 'All marshals handcuff themselves to their prisoners to keep them from getting away. Mr. Easton knows his business.'' As the two men stand to go to the smoker car, the young woman bids Mr. Easton goodbye.

All the while, two passengers seated nearby have listened to the conversation. One remarks on Mr. Easton's appearance, saying that he seems too young to be a marshal. The other eavesdropping passenger corrects the mistake, one that the young woman and readers have likely made as well. Mr. Easton is not the marshal; he is the counterfeiter. ''Oh! didn't you catch on?' the passenger says. 'Say--did you ever know an officer to handcuff a prisoner to his right hand?''

Nicholas’s Diary: April 2 and 3

Friday, April 2

Well, it’s only 10 more hours until my father and I leave for our treasure hunt. Every Saturday morning for as long as I can remember I have seen him leave, always by himself, to look for treasure. I have always longed to go with him, and he’s always told me that someday I would get the chance. I was so excited when he told me I would finally have my chance that I was bouncing off the walls like a rubber ball and springing from one place to the next the rest of the day.

He has always been as quiet as a mouse about the treasure that he finds, scurrying away with his equipment in the morning and piling up his treasure in his study. Even though he says he always comes home with something, he has never shown it to me or even told me what type of treasure it is. Is it gold, or silver, or maybe it’s precious jewels? Whatever it is, tomorrow I will find out, and hopefully he’ll let me bring some to class so that I can show my friends since I’ve been bragging about it to them ever since Dad told me I could go!

Saturday, April 3

The treasure hunt was fun, but it was not what I expected. Dad and I left early in the morning and headed for the same woods that we sometimes go hiking in on Sundays. I never would have thought they hold treasure, but what was really odd was when Dad told me to leave the shovels at home because we wouldn’t need them. But what he did bring with him was a bright yellow GPS . I had seen it in his truck many times before. I always wondered what he did with it. Today I found out.

Dad and I wandered into the woods, first staying on the hiking path I had taken several times before and then veering off the path. The forest was like a statue; it was still and covered in damp moss and dead leaves; it didn't even seem alive. It appeared that no one had been there for a long time so I knew that this treasure must be old and far under the ground. How were we going to get to it without shovels?

As Dad kept his eyes on the GPS , I looked around, and suddenly I noticed a patch of leaves that was disturbed and a log that looked like it had been moved. When I asked Dad about it, his eyes lit up, and he said he saw the treasure. He reached under the log and pulled out a plastic box with a label that read “Official Geocache.”

I didn’t know what an official geocache was, but I soon found out when Dad opened it. Inside was a little notebook and a bunch of small items like a set of dice, a toy car, and a large silver dollar. Dad said that he thought the toy car was cool, so he took it out and put it in his pocket and then pulled a golf ball from his other pocket and put it in the box. He wrote his name and my name in the little notebook and then closed the box and put it back where he found it.

Geocaching, which is what Dad later told me this type of treasure hunting is called, was much different than digging for gold in the ground. But I thought it was fun, and I hope Dad takes me again next Saturday.

Part A

In "Nicholas's Diary: April 2 and 3," what is Nicholas’s first thought when he and his father leave home to go treasure hunting?

It is not going to be the type of treasure hunt that he thought it would be.

He will not be finding gold or silver, but something far more important.

He will not have a very good story to tell his friends at practice on Monday.

The treasure will be carefully hidden and closely guarded.
Question 2
Part B

Which sentence from the text best supports the answer in Part A?

“…what was really odd was when Dad told me to leave the shovels at home because he said we wouldn’t need them.”

“As Dad kept his eyes on the GPS , I looked around, and suddenly I noticed a patch of leaves that was disturbed and a log that looked like it had been moved.”

“Dad and I left early in the morning and headed for the same woods that we sometimes go hiking in on Sundays.”

"The forest was like a statue; it was still and covered in damp moss and dead leaves; it didn't even seem alive."

Read this passage about seals and sea lions and then answer the question that follows:

From a distance, they both look like seals, but once you get up close you can actually see the difference. Seals and sea lions are both fish-loving mammals. Moreover, handy flippers propel them both through the water. But while seals have a tiny opening on the side of their heads, sea lions have actual earflaps. Furthermore, sea lions use their back flippers like feet to scoot along the beach. On the other hand, seals must wriggle and roll to get ahead. On the whole, when you visit a zoo or theme park, it's the honking, barking, funny sea lion you're likely to find playing to the crowds for fishy treats, earflaps and all.

In the passage about seals and sea lions, which transition is used to add an idea?
