Unprecedented economic interdependence, driven by cross-border capital movements, rapid technology transfer, and "real time" communication and information flows.
Rise of new actors that challenge state authority, particularly non-governmental organizations and civic groups, global firms and production networks, and even financial markets.
Growing pressure on states to conform to new international standards of governance, particularly in the areas of transparency and accountability.

Popper began his academic studies at the University of Vienna in 1918, and he focused on both mathematics and theoretical physics. In 1928, he received a PhD in Philosophy. His dissertation, On the Problem of Method in the Psychology of Thinking, dealt primarily with the psychology of thought and discovery. Popper later reported that it was while writing this dissertation that he came to recognize “the priority of the study of logic over the study of subjective thought processes” (1976, p. 86...
Popper's detractors claimed that he lacked an adequate account of mathematical science.
Who is Popper? It implies that in order for a theory to be considered scientific, it must be testable and potentially proven false. For example, observing a black swan can disprove the hypothesis that "all swans are white." Karl Popper contended that any research that wishes to be considered scientific must subject its hypotheses to falsification; that it must be tested in order to be proven incorrect. This is a far more rigorous approach than simply gathering evidence to support the hypothesis. Popper is well-known for his attempt to disprove the traditional positivist explanation of the scientific method by replacing induction with the falsification principle. Metaethical cultural relativism seems to entail not always having to even consider someone’s moral argument.
What is Metaethical cultural relativism? The philosophical stance that there are no ultimate moral truths, only truths relative to the cultural environment in which they exist, is known as meta-ethical cultural relativism.
According to meta-ethical relativism, moral judgments are simply true or untrue in relation to particular viewpoints, not in any absolute sense. Almost all forms of moral relativism depend on this concept.
The metaethics might, for instance, talk about how individuals use moral language, make observations on the psychology of the immoral, or inquire as to whether moral qualities exist.
In addition, metaethics investigates how moral principles might give us justifications for acting in a certain way or refraining from acting in a certain way.
It also covers many of the questions often associated with the nature of freedom and its relevance.

Plessy v. Ferguson, legal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court, on May 18, 1896, by a seven-to-one majority (one justice did not participate), advanced the controversial “separate but equal” doctrine for assessing the constitutionality of racial segregation laws. Plessy v. Ferguson was the first major inquiry into the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment’s (1868) equal-protection clause, which prohibits the states from denying “equal protection of the laws” to any person within their jurisdictions. Although the majority opinion did not contain the phrase “separate but equal,” it gave constitutional sanction to laws designed to achieve racial segregation by means of separate and supposedly equal public facilities and services for African Americans and whites. It served as a controlling judicial precedent until it was overturned by the Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954).
