Economics is said to be closely related to psychology. When people get scared about the state of their personal finances, they decrease their spending. When they feel confident, they spend more. In a four-paragraphs essay (400 words) discuss how much of an effect do you think this phenomenon has on the economy as a whole.

Answers

Answer 1

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

When people get scared about the state of their personal finances, they decrease their spending. When they feel confident, they spend more.  This phenomenon has impacted the economy as a whole because human behavior directly affects most of the daily aspects of our society.

It is understandable to say that when people are in fear about the future, one of the first things they do is try to protect themselves. And personal finances is one of the key aspects where people feel more vulnerable. So they stop spending until they see changes in the economy.

Sometimes, the economic threat can be true or a matter of speculation. In this case, the economy is affected in that although there is no real threat just speculation, people believe what they see or read in the news. People tend to overreact in panic and they decide to stop buying. When this happens, stores and companies also stop to receive money. So these companies cannot buy goods to be sold. This means that with no income, it is going to be difficult to pay employees. It is a vicious cycle.

On the other hand, when people feel confident that the economy of the country is solid, we have the opposite effect. People get out and buy things. Many times not only to satisfy basic necessities but they buy unnecessary things too.

It is a time when all kinds of goods can be sold. From houses to cars, furniture, electronics, as well as entertainment services o trips. When consumers are willing and able to spend their hard-earn money, companies are happy because they can sell more, buy more goods. Fabrics buy more raw materials to produce more products.

When the economy is rolling, Corporations think on invest more. They consider open new fabrics, stores, restaurants, and franchises. This immediately activates the national economy, and everybody is happy.

But as history has taught us, we have to be very careful because, in a free-market economy like the one that exists in the United States, the economy passes through a series of cycles. And when a cycle ends, we have to be aware of what is going to happen.

One example could be what happened during the "Roaring 1920s," when people spend a lot of money buying on credit. Everybody was so happy until the US stock market crashed on October 29, 1929, in what is considered the beginning of the Great Depression.

"Nikki Giovanni's real name is Yolande Cornelia. Most poets do not change their name. Why might she have done so? How does using the nom de plume of Nikki Giovanni add to her poetry?"

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

Her real name - Yolande Cornelia

Her pen name - Nikki Giovanni

(A) Why might Yolande have changed her name to a non de plume?

She might have adopted the nom de plume "Nikki Giovanni" because in her childhood, "Nikki" was her sister's pet name for her. Also, Giovanni was one of her father's names.

(B) How the non de plume adds to her poetry:

- It protects her from political prejudice

- It conceals her identity, to a good extent. She was a powerful writer and she wrote on sensitive topics so the use of a pen name helped continue her poetry, without obstructions from those would want to trace her from the name.

- It serves as a business name for her. A business is an entity on its own. It can sue and be sued. It stands separate from the person or owner

Which two ways do these gothic elements reflect the situation of women in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries?

Answers

Answer:

Answer:

If you were to be open-minded and view/interprets all religions as viable options then yes. However, if one is closed-minded to anything outside their religion or beliefs they are severely limiting themselves from the spirit.

Explanation:

This is because the soul grows from learning experiences and this can be done faster and easier if one's mind is open and desire for wisdom is burning.

A state of being that has beyond the constraints of physical existence and, by some definitions, has also become independent of it is known as transcendence in religious experience. Thus, it is true.

What person's soul to connect with the Divine Spirit?

One must be open-minded and believe that all religions are legitimate. However, if one has a closed mind to anything that is not a part of their beliefs or worldview, they are severely restricting their access to the spirit.

Transcendence is the component of a deity's nature and power that is beyond all accepted physical principles and wholly unrelated to the material realm. In contrast, immanence maintains that a deity is fully accessible to animals in many ways because they are present in the physical world to the fullest extent possible.

This is because learning experiences aid in the expansion of the soul, and this can occur more quickly and readily if one has an open mind and a strong thirst for knowledge.

Therefore, it is true that A Transcendentalist would say that religion is a way for a person's soul to connect with the Divine Spirit.

best demonstrates this effect?
A. I would like to introduce you to my son, Wind-Wolf.
B. He was born and raised on a reservation.

D. And like so many Indian children his age, he is shy and quiet in the

Answers

Read this opening paragraph from "An Indian Father's Plea" by Medicine Grizzlybear Lake: Dear teacher, I would like to introduce you to my son, WindWolf. He is probably what you would consider a typical Indian kid. He was born and raised on the reservation. He has black hair, dark brown eyes, and an olive complexion. And like so many Indian children his age, he is shy and quiet in the classroom. He is five years old, in kindergarten, and I can't understand why you have already labeled him a "slow learner." Which statement best explains why the author begins his letter with this passage?

A. The author begins the letter in this way to describe his son's

physical appearance.

B. The author begins the letter in this way to let the teacher know

that he is upset with her behavior.

C. The author begins the letter in this way to show that he

understands the teacher's perspective.

D. The author begins the letter in this way to explain why his son is

unhappy in the school.

Answer:

C. The author begins the letter in this way to show that he

understands the teacher's perspective.

Explanation:

The father starts the letter by letting his child's teacher know that he understands him from his perspective.

He wants the teacher to understand that his son may be a recluse and shy  but that does not mean that he is a slow learner, rather it is a cultural thing.

He tries to explain that an Indian child has a different culture and perspective so he may be misunderstood by others as shy but when in reality they are really thoughtful.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
