He showed the officers a hotel receipt and an airplane ticket as proof of his time in Buenos Aires

Explanation:

The above sentence is a complex sentence.

Complex sentences are known to be sentences that have an independent clause and at least one dependent clause. In such sentences, you will discover that a clause can stand alone and give a full meaning while another clause cannot stand alone and give a full thought.

In the sentence above, you will discover that:

"He showed the officers a hotel receipt..." is an independent clause that can stand alone as a sentence and give a full thought but the other half of the sentence joined by a conjunction, "and" "...an airplane ticket as proof of his time in Buenos Aires" cannot stand alone as a sentence and give full thought.

The other two options are not complex sentences.

It is Margaret you mourn for.

the worst to be the waiting - those quiet times of inactivity
when anticipation of the next attack weighed on me like a

If I gave you a million dollars what would you do with it and why???

1 paragraph or more ( 5 or more complete sentences)

Answers

There are many things to do with 1 million dollars. Here is what I would do. First, I would donate 50,000 to charity. I would do this because I don't need 1 million dollars all to myself. The next thing I would do is spend some of it on things I need or even just want. I would do this because there are lots of important things humans need that I could buy. The last thing I would do is invest the rest of the money. I would do this because investing is a good way to earn more money that could go into college funds, retirement, and so much more. That is what I would do if you gave me 1 million dollars.

Explanation:

A linking verb is used to link the subject to its complement. The purpose of the subject complement is to describe or attribute characteristics to the subject. In that sense, unlike other verbs, the linking verb does not describe an action being performed. It simply connects the subject to its description. The most common linking verb is probably the verb "to be". It is important to know that there are verbs that can function as linking verbs in certain contexts and as regular verbs in others, such as "look", "taste", "grow", etc.

Tasks As a Team

Generally, I feel comfortable working in groups when it comes to getting jobs done. Especially if it's with people I am already familiar with. I'm not one to lead the group often, but I don't slack off either, and I make sure my contribution is done with.

Now when it comes to things like school group projects, however, I typically have to take hold of the reins. A lot of people will either act like they'll make a contribution, and then ditch you at the last moment - or just blatantly ignore whatever task they need to do. Depending on how much the grade is worth, I end up doing the majority of the work, 'cause I don't got time for the slacker clowns I tend to get grouped with most of the time-
